Renowned as a good luck charm Utazu Daishi, this is the only hallowed ground for the Jishu sect in the Shikoku hallowed ground. According to auspiciousness, Gyoki carved a Amida Nyorai statue and enshrined it as the principal image. Afterwards, Kobo Daishi visited, and sensing that it was land related to the teachings of Buddha, carved an image of himself and vowed to ward off evil. In Shōō year 1 (1288), Ippen Shonin (1239~1289), the founder of Jishu sect opened a dojo for Buddhist incantation using chanting, drumbeating, and dancing and it lead to 2 methods, mantra and Buddhist invocation to be relayed.
