No. 61 Sendanzan Kouon-ji

It is said to have been built by Prince Shōtoku (574~622) to pray for the recovery of the ill Emperor Yōmei (reign 585~587), and is a prominent ancient temple in the Shikoku hallowed ground, but is a large modern Daiseido building that serves as both the main hall and Taishido. It is known as the temple for easy delivery and child-rearing and the "Koyasu Daishi Statue" with a mat on his back, priest's staff in his right hand and holding a baby in his left hand has attracted the faith of the people. In 1976 a new concrete modern main hall, Taishido were built.
