It is located almost halfway through the Shikoku hallowed ground and is called the middle Fudasho. There is a forest of old trees in the precinct and is filled with a sequestered air. In the Asuka Period, two hunter brothers - Myojin Ukyo and Hayato - finds and enshrines the Eleven-faced Kannon. It is said that the Emperor Monmu (reign 697~707) heard about this report and with an imperial order, built the temple and named it after the name of the period, Daiho-ji.
