This temple has well maintained the relic of when it was first built, and the whole area within the old precinct is a national historical landmark. In the surrounding areas are scattered the cornerstone of the foundation of the main hall when it was first built, and it is considered that it was of a size comparable to Kondo in Toshodai-ji. The main hall with a gabled, hipped roof has a paneled wooden door which was rebuilt during the mid-Kamakura Period, and one can see graffiti written by pilgrims on the inside. The principal image Senjū Kannon, along with the temple bell of the Nara Period, designated as important cultural property.
