It is located in the middle of Kotohikiyama and Fudasho No. 68 and 69 both exist within the same precinct. While Nisshoshonin, the high priest of the Hosso sect was training in this area, he received a revelation of Usa Hachimangu and discovered a Shibune and koto on the sea. These were pulled up to the Kotohikiyama and Kotohikihachimangu was founded and enshrined. It is said the origin was when it was built as a Jinguji. The newly built main hall in 2002 is a modern structure using white wood and concrete.
